Project accomplishments:
  • Developed and managed mutually beneficial outsource partner relationships with Fortune 500 consumer goods companies.  Overall responsibility for approximately 75 accounts, 2 million square feet of DC space, and 400 people providing Distribution Center Management, Transportation and Packaging services.  Managed relocation and startup of multiple distribution centers of over 200,000 square feet.

  • Implemented returns and reverse logistics program for electronics importer resulting in savings of over 50% of returns processing cost.  Process included serial number capture, components inventory, sortation, packing, and shipment consolidation for offshore manufacturing plant return.  Automated reporting and data collection for customer credit accounting resulted in additional savings of 15%.

  • Assessed all aspects of Supply Chain management including customer service, logistics, materials planning, and procurement for a technology manufacturer with suppliers, plants, and customers located in USA, Europe and Asia.  Developed a Supply Chain Strategy and Initiatives Road Map to improve operating performance, global visibility, reduce total cost, enable growth, and minimize compliance risk.  Conducted a detailed analysis and design of a global freight management solution including forwarder bidding and selection, global freight payment and settlement, and access to a global shipment and cost visibility solution.  Results included over 20% transportation cost savings, improved shipment and cost visibility, organizational realignment, and potential for additional cycle time reductions

  • Developed a client side outsourcing strategy for a private label consumer goods manufacturer to deliver 15% operational cost savings while increasing on time delivery to 98% and improving customer satisfaction levels.  Selected and planned relocation of 200,000 square foot logistics center.

  • Developed client side outsourcing relationship for marketer of reloadable prepaid charge cards to enable cost savings and service improvements of both existing and new customer accounts.  Evaluated existing processes and identified internal process improvements. Evaluated and selected a 3PL warehousing partner from proposal through contracting.  Project resulted in estimated operational savings of 14+%.

  • Implemented unique cost plus contract structures that provided 3PL incentives to reduce cost (15+%) and improve service quality (near zero defect).  The same structure provided the client organization with incentives to assist the 3PL with process and performance improvements.
